Apprenticeships at CCR

The smash repair industry is currently facing a skills shortage and as a result CCR is committed to providing ongoing traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities to young people. The success of the industry and CCR is dependent upon the quality of its tradespeople. Therefore CCR has developed an in-house training program to maximise the traineeship/apprenticeship experience and ensure individuals become exceptionally skilled and capable tradespeople.





Training Program

CCR currently offers the following traineeships and apprenticeships to successful applicants.
  • R&R Traineeship
  • Refinish Traineeship
  • Vehicle Detailing Traineeship
  • Panel Apprenticeship
  • Refinish Apprenticeship
  • Parts Interpreting Apprenticeship
CCR employs outstanding tradespeople as mentors to oversee the apprentice/trainee development. Each trainee/apprentice is assigned a mentor. The mentor provides one-on-one training to ensure the apprentice/trainee acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to make them an exceptional tradesperson. In addition, CCR conducts regular performance reviews on trainees/apprentices to ensure they are continually improving upon their skills and knowledge.

  • Trainer (RTO/TAFE/In-house)

Ideal Candidate
  • Has year 11 or 12 schooling with a desire to continue learning.
  • Is interested in cars.
  • Has good hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills.
  • Has good interpersonal skills and enjoys working with people.
  • Is enthusiastic about learning throughout their career.
  • Is self motivated and keen to succeed in their chosen career.
Recruitment Process

CCR has made a commitment to employ a minimum of two trainees per year. Each year CCR commences recruitment towards the end of October, with the intention of the successful applicants starting employment in early January. During the recruitment process applicants will participate in a face to face interview, a numeracy and literacy exam and practical skills test.

Upon successful completion of a 12 month traineeship, trainees who have demonstrated a good work ethic, keen interest in the role and pride in their work will be offered an apprenticeship. The trainee will receive 12 months credit off their apprenticeship for skills and knowledge acquired through their traineeship.
